As if the Apple rumor mill wasn’t peppy enough on the off days, things are really getting moving now that their Worldwide Developers Conference is mere weeks away. Some flavor of Mac Pro seems a shoo-in, but Think Secret has some dirt on the iTunes Music Store and iPod nano, which they think are due for some keynote love as well. Read on to find out

On the iTunes front, the word is that Steve Jobs will announce movie rentals for the store, with titles coming from Walt Disney, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, and Warner Bros. — with more on the way. While a significant move, this marks a bit of a defeat for Jobs, who was purportedly going for mirroring music model with a-la-carte movie purchases, instead of having the file expire after a specific time or number of viewings. We’re not sure which rental method Apple will go for, but the movie industry types seem pretty smug about their victory in the matter. As for the iPod, Think Secret’s insiders are reporting that the second-gen nano is on the way, which should come in 6-8GB capacities, and feature multiple colors, including that metal alloy enclosure we were hearing about. Otherwise, the new nano shouldn’t be much of a departure from the current offering. Rumblings of 40GB and 80GB 5G iPods are also making the rounds, with that 6G being delayed into 2007, but Think Secret doesn’t expect anything for the WWDC.

So you like the look of all-in-one PC’s but have realised that if anything breaks not only do you loose your computer but your monitor/display too – well not any more. The GrandOpera sports a competely removeable PC. These LCDs will ship in 32, 37, and 42-inch models and feature an on-board analog TV tuner and removable PC running a Celeron M, up to 1GB of RAM, and 100GB of disk. Prices will start at about ¥150,000 or roughly $1,300 for the 32-inch kit when these drop in Japan sometime late July.

Apple Insider’s has said that they have received word that a brand new version of the infamous eMac will be coming out soon (September it seems). The image above is a simple mock by engadget, however it has been said that the final design will look similar to the iMac. It has been also said that the screen will now be an LCD rather than CRT and it seems that it’s quite obvious that intel chips will be used. Expect the bare specs though, this is an education machine not a power house. Now you’ll have your whole summer to wait for it!

With Apple’s general method of publicly denying the demand for a product until they announce its imminent release, Steve Jobs’ words at today’s annual shareholder meeting were quite telling. Without giving much away, Jobs stated: “The new products in the pipeline are the best I’ve ever seen in my life.” But in response to a particular shareholder’s request for Apple to develop “the ultimate media center” to give Microsoft’s WMCE a run for its money, Jobs responded: “we hear you loud and clear.” Quite the strong words from such a secretive man, though he was on a bit of a roll. In regards to the recent 17-inch MacBook Pro’s release, Jobs let everyone know, “Everyone wants a MacBook Pro because they are so bitchin’.” Thanks for that, Steve. Jobs also mentioned the possible demise of the CRT in their lineup, due to environmental concerns and their general lack of bitchin-ness.

This is apparantly the first dual (cursor) mouse on the market, the basic idea is that when you press the side of your mouse, a red pointer appears and takes control, and when you release the side of the mouse, the normal cursor appears.I don’t know how practical this is to use but its certainly interesting.
