It’s odd to see this, especially since Mitsubishi’s popularity in Japan is quite low at the moment (think of exploding engines for no apparant reason). However this is indeed a family car that I’d be proud of owning.
Get in, stick the nano in and off you go, driving and humming. A thousand songs in a thousand miles. (Yes Mistubishi you may quote us on that). The price? $15,000. Is it worth it? Well you obviously aren’t going to buy a car because it has an iPod Nano dock, but I’d say it’s a welcome feature!

Remember the Final Fantasy Potion drink i wrote about in January,well its finally gone on sale in Japan,In one store (pictured above) the premium boxes with the special bottles were sold out leaving one six pack.other stores also had plenty of bottles,but no premiums.

iPod to meet Tamagotchi

Japanese company Konami will issue this summer a curious LCD-based portable game in which the player “raises” virtual characters by giving them a “steady diet” of music.”When the game, called Otoizm, is connected to a MP3 player,various characters appear according to the type of music being played.The game classifies music into 19 types, and the growth and type of character produced changes according to the type of music it listens to.More than 30 kinds of characters can be created.

The DT1 by Fusion has a display that is a hybrid LCD/LED and is very simple to read. The outer ring indicates hours, the inner ring for minutes.The 30 small dots in the centre are seconds, they fill up to 30 & then drain down to make 60. (more…)

Mamido’s Burger in Shibuya,Japan makes burgers and fries that are designed to look like regular fast food,but actually are sweets that contain a bun of sponge cake,a patty of chocolate cream, pickles that are kiwi slices,mayo that is whipped cream.The French Fries look just like the real deal but are actually custard cream covered in starch powder.Burgers range from ¥390-550 or $3.90-5.50 and fries being ¥390.

Apple previously announced that they would be selling iPods at 7-Eleven convenience stores in Japan,and now this is the first photo of iPods on display in a store,right next to sweets.The display includes the 1 Gb shuffle, 2 Gb and 4 Gb nano, and a 30 Gb video iPod, along with some iTunes Music Store gift cards.
