One of the most common problems that people have nowadays, is the fact that there are so many great apps, but the syncronization between them all is impossible. Take myself for example, although I’m a great fan of technology, I still prefer to have a good old fashioned Filofax to organize my life as I like the slightly randomness but easy to find means that is provided by using paper.

Scrybe is an application that can just be described as something that looks as smooth as an Apple product but as smart as Google app and something that every Windows OS needs.

Check it out.

Here’s a handy mouse! If you travel alot, you’ll know that space is essential. So what do you do when using that touchpad starts to cramp your finger? Use a MoGo Mouse that’s what! It’s a simple concept, but Newton Peripherals has done a good job of thinking out the details. Newton, by the way, is named after a town near Boston, not the late and not-terribly-lamented Apple PDA.

The size and shape of a normal PCMCIA card, the MoGo feels solid, but PCMCIA cards are thin, and it would be rather awkward to push one round a desk as a pointing device. Newton’s answer is a spring-loaded “flipstand” that raises up the back of the mouse under your palm, so you can grip the raised end between your thumb and fingers. The stand flips up with a satifying pop.

The MBW-100 is the must-have mobile phone accessory for people who enjoy using the latest technology to stay connected to the world around them.

It has sleek lines, classic looks, a distinguished presence and represents a first as a mainstream Bluetooth™ fashion accessory from a mobile phone supplier. Crafted from high quality stainless steel with a silver facia, the analogue watch will go on sale globally during Q4 of 2006 with a guideline retail price of approximately EUR 300.

Handle your calls with stylish discretion

Designed in partnership with watch industry leader Fossil, the MBW-100 allows a whole new way of looking at your mobile phone and you start by leaving your phone in your pocket. A stylish OLED display beneath the watch face displays who is calling when a call is incoming. A simple key press on the watch can reject the call, meaning you can remain in control of your calls in the utmost discretion.

Save time by keeping in greater control

Most of us cannot do without the indispensable tools for our busy lives – our wallet, our keys, our mobile phone and the watch on our wrist. By adding control of your calls and music to your watch, as well as notification of text messages and a clever out-of-range notification when you are separated from your phone, the MBW-100 helps you become more efficient in your daily communication. It also makes listening to music simpler by allowing you to play, pause and skip to the next track in your phone’s music player. So, leaving your phone in your pocket and letting your watch become more than just a time keeper, means control is always to hand.

Liquid-based displays are nothing new — in a vertical orientation, at least — but apparently it’s a lot more difficult to coax a standing pool of water into forming recognizable shapes and characters. In fact, before coming up with their current design, researchers at Japan’s Akishima Laboratories were only able to get poorly-formed letters to pop up once every 15 minutes in their first stab at using waves to “print” on the surface of a specially-built pool. Their second attempt, however — developed with Professor Shigeru Naito of Osaka University — addresses both major flaws by using formulas known as Bessel functions to cut the processing time down to between 15 and 30 seconds and form characters with straight lines.

The 30-centimeter deep, kiddie pool-sized device employs 50 generators operating in unison to produce cylindrical waves that behave like pixels, giving it the ability to display the entire roman alphabet as well as a number of kanji characters. Eventually this technology could be combined with music and lighting effects to create multimedia attractions at hotels or theme parks, but until they can speed up the letter formation even more (and maybe toss in some video), we don’t see any real practical applications here. Readers?

When someone walks into your house and sees a full-fledged karaoke machine — or worse, the karaoke muzzle — he or she will be immediately bombarded by mental images of you doing your best Steve Perry impression. Now you can mask your potentially embarrassing obsession though, by choosing the CAVS IPS-11G iPod Karaoke dock. It looks just like your average third-party iPod cradle, but hiding behind its unassuming shell is support for MPEGs, AVIs, MP3s and slideshows, which when coupled with the two built-in microphone jacks and an A/V cable, can make for hours of ear-offending fun. The dock can accept just about any version of the iPod, which is used purely for storage, as well as USB drives and external HDDs, giving you access to all your media (Journey songs included) through menus on your TV screen. Just think, one day you could be making millions selling your karaoke tracks as ringtones. Or not.

We’re still not sure why you’d want to buy a USB thumb drive so small that you’ll probably lose it within the first week, but that hasn’t stopped companies like Pretec, Lexar, OCZ, and PQI — and now Sony — from battling it out until one of them finally achieves the holy grail of a completely invisible storage solution. Well even though they may not be the smallest drives around, Sony’s new 1.5-gram Microvault Tiny line is looking to stand out from the crowd by sporting “fashionable” cases for appealing to the female demographic — although it’s not clear how many women will be into outdated designs that resemble 20th Century iMacs. The drives range in capacity from 256MB (£19) to 2GB (£75), and in one of the strangest promotions we’ve ever seen, actually come with a bottle of matching nail polish as a free gift– so even if you lose the drive, you can still look down at your hands and reminisce about all the good times you and your Tiny had reading and writing data together. Available Now.

We’ve been hearing threats of smell-o-vision for decades now, but it looks like engineers at the Tokyo Institute of Technology are getting serious about an odor recorder that can analyze scents and reproduce them by combining the 96 chemicals packed inside the device. Not only will it be able to approximate the smells of the finer things of life such as freshly-baked bread or apple pie, but it could also help doctors to diagnose remote patients by whipping up a hell of a stench with smells of urine, bile and rotten egg farts.

You point the device at an object, and then it records its odor using 15 chemical-sensing microchips, or electronic noses. It can then transmit that data to another device in a different location, or save it for later playback. So far, the system has been able to accurately record and play back the scent of orange, lemon, apple, banana and melon, and it’s said to be able to demonstrate the difference in scent between a red and green apple.

The researchers hope to implement the device for online shopping, where you’ll be able to smell before you buy, and also in various virtual-reality environments. As they are with all technological innovations, we’re thinking the porn industry will lead the way with stank-ho-vision.
